New phone switch

So I switched phones, I have both phones. But I have disabled the app in the original phone, removed from admin, then uninstalled the application.

I have factory wiped the old phone.

I have installed it properly on the new phone and connected-to-avast.com

I have tried deleting the devices from my device list… and then reconnected-to-avast.com from the app on the phone. And it still doesn’t work.

I always get this error on the control panel (despite new phone device appearing):

WE ARE SORRY, BUT DETAILED INFORMATION FOR DEVICE IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE.

Make sure GPS is enabled.

It is enabled. The problem is the my.avast website is misreading the JSON response from its own servers. There is something wrong with the website. There is data in my account. It simply refuses to show it due to a bug.

In fact, I can prove how buggy this is.

So I made a new account. Brand new.

My Mobile avast Anti-Theft app is not protecting my new phone (it is OFF)

I removed web-account-connection in the app of Mobile Avast Anti-Theft.

I had successfully deleted this device from my old Avast account.

I login to my new account on the web.

I click “setup web control” and web-connect to my NEW Avast account. Data is sent to the server.

I refresh my Devices page on the website (my.avast). on this New account it shows my NEW PHONE.

Click Details… “WE ARE SORRY, BUT DETAILED INFORMATION FOR DEVICE IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE.”

This is utterly broken.

You call support and they don’t answer anything and a robot gives you choices, tells you to go to website, and then hangs up.

ALL this tells me is: Do not ever buy Avast products. That’s the main thing I learned here.

There is no phone support for AMS / AT.
