new problem with 4.6.603 [Silent install version numbers]

While everyone is complaining about the display of version number in security center, I found another problem.
I had created silent installation in my lan computers running 4.5.
While the program has nowbeen updated to the new version in all the lan machines, I find the splash screen remains the old one and in the about avast the version number is shown as 4.5.603.
In my host machine, however, which runs xp home, the splash screen and the about box displays things correctly. >:(

So you used the silent install as a way to update the existing v4.5 installations? Why would you do that?

Also, does Repair from Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs → avast antivirus help?

Vlk,
I did not use silent installation now. As mentioned , I had used silent install with v4.5.
I have used the program updating feature in each lan machine (running win98) to update the program to v4.6 and the results of old splash screen and version number I have informed in my mail.
The repair feature did not change anything.

Where did the clients update from? Internet or a local mirror?
Also, your saying Repair didn’t give and warning? It just said everything’s OK?

I had updated from the internet through proxy server.
Repair did not give any warning and just closed off and accordingly I thought everything was OK
