I’ve got most static image files (i.e., other than videos) associated with the Win Photo Viewer, which I believe is the default anyway.
All of a sudden, as of maybe three weeks ago, if I double-click on, say, a JPG in Win Explorer, it’s taking forever to load the image. I’d been in the habit of resizing the images to more or less fit available window space, so files sizes are typically in the 25-60K range and the zoom-to-fit option should have very little to do.
Given the timing, I’m guessing this is somehow tied into last month’s Patch Tuesday item which fixed that zero-day TIFF vulnerability. Am I stuck with this, or can anyone suggest a fix (short of uninstalling that particular update, of course)?
