Ok the new program was downloaded but the reboot scan still not work comes up with error ??? screen fades too fast for me to grab the numbers …now what???

So you scheduled the boot-time scan, after installing the new version (and rebooting, when asked to do so), and it still didn’t work?

And you have version 4.1.389?

Interesting. Other people are reporting the opposite - the last update fixed the problem…

What’s in \data\log\aswBoot.log ?

Ok I Think I fixed the problem …when I got home I checked my log and it said that myprogram had been updated but until I went to check to see which version I had as you asked …I fond out that the program had not been downloaded so once I did that and scheduled a Boot Scan everything worked great …Thanks Alot Hun

I have anothere question for you …I know how to do Print Screen and save it but can not figure out how to post it here …or how to post my own picture here …Can you explain how please.

I don’t understand. Can you rephrase? Do you already have the screenshot (the graphics file, e.g. jpg, gif etc)?

ok …when i do the screen shot …go to save it is blmp …i do have a pictur in gif of myself in a file …it is with the screen shots i am having trouble …plus as soon as i try to put them on here nothing happens …see i put a picture on this nothing happened

It needs to be jpg ot gif or png. BMP is not supported (it’s not an Internet format). You need a program that can save as jpg, gif or png. Windows Paint can do this only if you have Windows XP.

ok …i am running xp …professional …i use paint …but when i go to save it to a file it is in the other format

So… what’s the problem, really?

The log line needreboot=false just means that the update did not need a reboot of the machine, that’s all.

It’s usually not necessary to check the logs unless you’re experiencing some problems… The logs (especially the setup logs) can be confusing (at least for the users).
