Rather depends on the avast version that you have and what you mean by ‘new release,’ but you don’t say nor do you have a profile signature ?
That aside there is no fixed dates for new releases, if you are talking about saw avast7.

What do you want to see in the new version that is not already in version 6 ?
You have to work it out (assuming you know the original time the devs wanted it to be released.)
Time between new releases follows an exponential increase with respect to the amount of times they are asked for.
Rt = R0 x exp(Nt) [Rt = time until release, R0 = Original time the dev outlined, Nt = Number of times the release]

Essentially, the more it is asked for, the longer it takes. (this would be the model I would take if I was a software dev :D)

Somtimes I think as soon as a release is out there are always someone thinking the next release will be the following day.
