Why when I paste a specific thread into url address, for
instance
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=151792.0
I end up here instead
https://forum.avast.com/
and have to hunt for the thread of interest.
It wasn’t like that before the forum changes.
There is already a large topic relating to the subject - after the relaunch of the forums, new logon/validation and session duration/time-out, cookies, etc. have messed with stuff like this.
If you paste this in and get the index.php (home page), just paste the URL in again, it will probably work on the second time.

That said today I have noticed a difference, when I clicked a link to the ‘Show new replies to your posts.’ in the index.php page it took me their rather than a redirect. Don’t know if that is a fluke this time out or if something has been done.

I’m still experiencing the problem. 
As I said, ‘Don’t know if that is a fluke this time out’ Will have to wait for the session stuff. But I don’t use the email forum notification links.
It happens even just trying to get to a specific Forum if you haven’t accessed the forum within that magic amount of time.
