New simcard and now Avast indicates its Stolen

I installed new simcard from new provider, but my mobile is reported stolen.
Every time the location is found (wifi en gps turn on automatically several times, which is annoying!).

How to let Avast know that my mobile phone is not lost or stolen?
When I choose ‘Found’ I’m afraid things will block my mobile.

Hallo Asyn,

Thank you for the link.
It worked

Kind regards,
Mies

You’re welcome.

I have a similar issue but the link didn’t answer my problems.

I installed Avast mobile wares & activated Antitheft on my Samsung Galaxy S1 ages ago. Everything was fine, we did some testing to see if it worked by installing a different SIM. AOK all messages & everything work like a treat.

Now I’ve had to change carrier. I have installed another network SIM as a known SIM - as per instructions on the Avast website - This is where the problem starts. even if pin input it still sends SMS stolen notification. Avast shows both IMSI’s as trusted, but still sends SMS when phone restarted (which happens often).

I have also had a replacement Sim & once again (After getting stolen phone messages) updated & added the new Sim as a known Sim. I have since deleted all other trusted SIM’s to just my Current SIM, however I still get phone stolen SMS sent every time I restart Phone. I have now completely uninstalled avast from the Mobile but I still get the SMS messages. Phone is not rooted.

From blog: http://blog.avast.com/2014/07/02/how-to-prevent-unnecessary-costs-of-avast-sms-notifications-when-replacing-your-sim-card/

To set up / disable SMS notifications you need to:

  1. Connect your avast! Mobile Security with my.avast.account. Open avast! Mobile Security ->Make sure Anti-Theft is enabled.
  2. Open avast! Mobile Security → Anti-theft → avast! Account → Enable/Disable function Send SMS to AVAST
Disabling this functionality before replacing your SIM card will save you from unexpected charges. Please don’t forget to restore it afterwords!

I have done this, still getting sms notification when turning phone Off & On.

Changed Friend Numbers to send SMS, if SIM changed.
Still getting SMS to both old numbers - nothing to new number

Uninstalled ALL avast apps from Mobile Phone.
Still sending sms to both old “Friend” numbers & Possibly Avast servers.

Have re-installed Avast & notice anti-theft is a new version (with new icon). Previous attempts to update (with prior install) did not result in update to this New version. In any case original problem still exists.

Samsung Galaxy S1 (GT-i9000)
Firmware 2.3.6
Gingerbread.XWJW6

OK, so after making a complete fool of myself I discovered my Samsung has a similar app “Mobile Tracker” - get to it from settings menu>Location & security>Set mobile Tracker
This thing looks a lot like Avast anti theft in its setup process (I even believed I accessed it through the Avast menu). Anyway, once you start to set it up it requires you login to samsung account etc, even if you don’t complete the process it still sends SMS to friends (you set these up at the start).
Once Avast Mobile Security is setup & Samsung Mobile tracker forgotten, you can’t get the SMS messages to stop by uninstalling A.M.S (Obvious now).
If you have a Samsung Phone & change SIM for any reason it’ll alert everyone & you’ll think it’s A.M.S. be careful, don’t get caught out like me.
