The update screen in the GUI is telling me that a new version - 11.1.2241 - is available. I see that this is the number of the just released RC3 but I’m in the stable release update stream, having never installed (or previously been offered) a beta version. I’m not planning to attempt the update as I’ll wait for the installer … but is it an error?

Ok … I see that the post for the final 2015 release has been unpinned, I’m guessing the 2016 announcement is imminent!
@lucD,
I’m seeing the same but I’m afraid to update yet.

Same here, I’m waiting to see what new “treats” are bundled with Avast as more tools this year. I hate that I have to install it all, restart, manually uninstall the new tools and then restart, they need to streamline this, give us an option during the initial update.

@EmoHobo Just wait for the installer to be posted here and use it to do a custom installation. No need to run the GUI updater first and it shouldn’t be necessary to uninstall the 2015 version.

Hi guys,
yep it’s official release. Don’t worry updating and enjoy the new version:

Updated with no issues on my win 8.1 computer.
Edit…why did I have to register again? I’ve been using Avast for years. ???

I said this same build number isn’t a good idea.
