can anyone please help me on this? i installed the free avast antivirus today. now when ever i use my limewire or bearshare to download a file i get avast antivirus has block the file. can anyone tell me how to stop this from happen?

Why do you want avast! to stop protecting you from downloading infected files ???
Well avast doesn’t block, but scans and alerts to infection. So are you saying that avast is detecting what you are downloading as infected ?
If so can you give some examples of what you were downloading and its source (plus file name) ?
Can you provide a screenshot of the so called blocking message/window ?
