New Update breaks Windows Spotlight

I’ve encountered this issue before, of an Avast update interfering with Windows 10 Spotlight not displaying the “fun facts, tips, and more” on the Login screen. I’ve always narrowed it down to Avast messing with the boot order of programs somehow, and I’ve had to wait for a future update to the program for the issue to resolve itself.
Any idea what hooks Avast has in the operating system now that’s preventing Spotlight from working properly? I enjoy the fun facts, seeing things like where the picture was taking, and various fun facts about it.
Thank you for any advice you can give.

Provide details…

The problem resolved itself this time before any update on Avast’s end.

But as you requested for details, I manually updated the Avast application version when I saw in the Update tab that the version was in red, indicating that it needed updating. So I clicked Check for Updates, it did its thing, I rebooted, and then for the next two to three days Windows Spotlight didn’t show the tips and whatnot. As I stated before, this has happened before, and it always coincided with an Avast update, for whatever reason. But Spotlight now works again, so I’m happy.

Thanks for the feedback.
