New Update- nearly broke my system, so, thx?

So i’ve never had a problem with the Game Mode component before, (quite used to like not getting disturbing annoying avast popups during gaming, so thx for that)
That was until today, i boot up my comp, avast pops up with the usual “we’ve gone made and done that what update we did for you”, no more thinking done on my part since that’s all great per usual ( i assume), until i fire up a bunch of games at the same time to idle them for cards on steam after a recent purchase,
here’s the deal when i do this i’m doing it on a OC system, with balanced power management settings with the multi of games priority on low, so not to stress my comp needlessly
however, 2 minutes later and i hear my poor thing crying out for help so loudly i could hear it in my bathroom
run back in sees, my baby is reaching temps higher than any stresstest i’ve ever done on it before
couple of minutes later i find out that now avast is changing my power settings from balanced to High Performance, + CPU priority to high (which isn’t exactly optimal when running 21 games at the same time)

Now I dono wtf changed in that update i got this morning, and i do suppose it’s my fault for assuming avast would just behave as it always has. But i’m assuming some functionality issue must have “crossed” in/with the Game Mode feature, like power management applying on desktops too not just laptops, or something, because i’ve never had it disabled before (nor even needed to alter it), but i certainly had to now, since this shit happened

Not the first issue i’ve had with free avast after an update (even tho this didn’t exactly look like a major one), i really liked it back when avast invalidated and deleted my windows key, that was fun,

anyways, this is the sorta update issues, that repeatedly keeps from actually throwing money at you guys, and constantly makes me tryout alternatives, because when it’s bad it’s real bad, (at least with my luck)

I know it’s free, and mostly good, but, could you please stop messing with my shit? i’m not made of money and cant afford to replace stuff every time you guys release an update that makes stuff misbehave this naughty

(and i’m quite aware i’m likely in a very minuscule if not astronomical low “group” of people’s chance this (could) happen to, but still, i trust you guys to keep my system virus free/safe, not fry it)

okay, angry rant over
how was your day honey?

There never is a reason to OC a system unless you are trying to see when a system breaks down.
If you want more speed, change settings, don’t run things when not really needed etc so the system can use as much resources as possible to do what yo want.
If that isn’t enough for you, get better/faster hardware.
If you can’t afford/are not willing to pay for it, learn to live with the limitations.

A OC’ed system can cause all kinds of problems.
If unwanted things happen, don’t be surprised.
You have taken a gamble and it can turn out badly.

The power management settings don’t “see” if a system is OC’ed or not.
You can’t expect them to work.

Don’t run 21 games at the same time. ;D Run only what you need and you can leave your settings alone. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Heat is your biggest enemy here.
