New user - Automatic virus scanning

Hi,

I’m new to Avast and have just installed Pro 4.8. My understanding was that it automatically ran an anti virus scan. I can see where the log is for the automatic virus database update but when I go into start Avast anti virus, the last scan date was 5 days ago.

How do I know how often it is running a full scan?

You can’t schedule in Home version. Only in Professional.

If you have avast running as resident, I won’t scan the system more than once a month…

Oops… sorry. So, in the Tasks properties he can schedule. Or into the Scheduler folder he can add a Task to be run.
