new user, how do i open the chest

I can’t find anything that even says file on it for a drop down menu. can any one walk me threw how to get to the chest?

Hi…

Just bring up the main program window, click “Menu,” and then “Virus Chest.” Or, even easier, move your mouse over the program window and right click, the menu will pop up using this method as well. :slight_smile:

right click the avast ‘a’ icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, Menu, Virus Chest -
Or

  1. You could edit C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Data\avast4.ini open it using notepad.
  2. Find the [AAVM] section and add this line, ShowChestInMenu=1 on a new line.
  3. Save and exit notepad, the avast self-defence module will ask for confirmation of the changes, answer Yes. Example: [AAVM] ShowChestInMenu=1

What do you need to get to the chest for, is probably a better question ?
