NEW Version: 19.4.2374 (April 2019)

Many thanks to all who worked very hard to repair and test patch that addressed the problem of CHKDSK not working on boot (Win7/Pro x64) and for doing it in record time.

I will try to remember all the things this confusing experience taught me in the process.

Boot time scan is missing in the virus scan section in the latest version of Avast Premier.

I’ve already done the Avast repair, nothing, no boot time scan and I’ve done a clean installed, same issue no boot time scan showing up in the virus scan section.

Did Avast removed boot time scan in the latest Avast version ??

Nope, it’s available here.

That’s wired, I’m not sure if this might be a bug issue for W8.1 OS, which I cannot get the boot time scan in the virus scan section showing up.

Probably not, check my sig.

Bloody strange, can you please page out to Avast for help, Captain Cat

Follow instructions: https://support.avast.com/article/33/

Avast Support File ID:- VQCCK

OK, as you use a paid version contact support and report it there.

You’ve got to be kidding me, right? Was there a direct FTP to upload the bloody file? Or do I have to drink Rum all over again?

There’s an incorrect setting causing this… I’ll try to fix it somehow

Do you need a copy of my Avast backup settings file Igor???

Nope, I got it from the support package.
Somewhen in the past, there probably has been some kind of crash during which the main INI file got corrupted. Overseer has fixed it (otherwise the program would hardly work), but one particular value was fixed incorrectly (because its correct value has changed between Avast v18 and v19) and the result is you don’t see the boot-time scan in the UI.
I’ll update it in one of the next virus definition updates.

Thanks Igor you’re a legend buddy.

Agreed +1

Hello Igor,

The “White UI” issue when opening Avast is not fixed for me, and I’ve read it was supposed to be fixed in version 19.3.

I’m running the latest version of Avast 19.4.2374 on Windows 8.1 (64-bit), with UI version 1.0.360.

Please see the screenshot I attached.

Very good point, it’s my fault, I forgot to add it to release notes. I updated them now.

SpeedyPC: Try updating to the latest virus definitions (19041204 or later) and then restarting the computer…

Updated through Gui with out any problems.

Working okay so far

But white screen occur everytime when launching GUI via taping Avast tray icon.Fix this.b[/b]

You bloody RIPPER! Igor boot time scan workings ;D thanks pal, you’re a legend.
