Updated to this latest version via Avast GUI . Just installed all, regardless of what components I had already didn’t have installed.
After install had to go into Add/Remove and click on avast, go to Change then untick what components i didn’t want install.
So I guess in future to keep what i want i will have to do a clean install.

Bug Report: Windows XP Email Scanning dont work
When 10.2.2218.942 after the avastclear-procedure be installed, then the Email-Shield do not work.
The shield is not off, but the email accounts are to fast scanned - when the mail shield works it need more very much more time and in the statistics you can see that no email be scanned.

What is the new free hard disk space requirement to install? The old requirements state 2GB on the Avast FAQ, (which I just happen to have exactly 2GB left), and it is complaining that it is not enough, but does not state how much is needed in the installer. It only states how much I have free.
(For future versions, I’d recommend putting the needed space amount in the installer, possibly in smaller text below on the same screen)
I want to know what was changed, because this bug costed my 5 days searching and testing!!
My download problems in win8.1 32bit are gone after the update to 2015 R2SP2 (2015_10_2_2218) https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=169856.0
It would be nice to do update but I have tried tried twice and it crashes my internet access. Something about the DNS setup. I can go back to the restore point and everything works again.
I am using the Avast update system. What do I need to do or send to try to get past this problem?
Avast alerted me of this new version so I clicked it to proceed with the update through the UI > Program > Update. 10 minutes later and 2 reboots ( Just to make sure ) all is up and running nicely. BTW after the first reboot Avast showed its window where Chrome is offered.
Which makes spotting it hard and something that the average user will totally miss.
Guess we’ll get to hear about it here on the forum.
Are you using Unchecky ???
Not that hard if you do not suffer from the click, click syndrome, but yes, we will be hearing about it, and not only that but about Skype too.
No Bob, I do not need unchecky. I do make custom installs and read every window the installer opens, but I recommend it in the Spanish forum to the average user to avoid those nasty gifts which come grapped in free software people usually download from the web.
