It is recommended that you uninstall your current version of SpywareBlaster before installing the new version. To do this:
1.) Open SpywareBlaster and press the “Disable All Protection” link under “Quick Tasks”.
2.) Close SpywareBlaster.
3.) Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the entry named “SpywareBlaster v3.4”
4.) Download the latest SpywareBlaster .
5.) Enjoy the new version of SpywareBlaster! "
Good info, and thanks for letting us know, but there is a thread where we post all these information. Everyone in this forum would find this info easier because many people are already “watching” that thread and they get e-mail announcements when something new is posted in there:
Just an observation. I also run SpySweeper. It seems that when SpywareBlaster is downloaded that my version of SpySweeper doesn’t particularily like Spyware Blaster? Not sure why this is?
Did you quickly disable all the protection, then uninstalled it from the Program Files with the uninstaller, leave the map there.
The if you unrar or unzip the new version, you get an alert that the map ist there, just accept, install and finish all is OK.

PS there is also a new System Safety Monitor version with a three month license, keeps you 10% safe against all varieties of hidden rootkit, better, faster. Cannot be without it.
Well, I disabled protection, uninstalled, rebooted, installed the new version and enabled all protection as suggested in the web site and no issues. I connected and did a check for updates and just got the:
'No Updates Available'
There are no new updates available.
You have the latest protection.
Same here my friend. No matter what i try i cannot update the darn thing i’m loosing my cool here.
And yes i have disabled the protection, uninstalled and installed it just like you are supposed to.
I don’t know what’s wrong but i’ll try going to the old version uninstall it and then try again.
I’ll keep you guys informed…
I didn’t have an older version of this program when I downloaded it today. I went to Major Geeks, chose the Atl, Ga. site I believe. Did this because one of the other sites quit downloading in the middle of the first attempt. Going to this site and it downloaded just fine.
Wonder if this is why my SpySweeper said something to the effect that the SpywareBlaster wasn’t quite right or something to that effect. Guess I will keep track of this one. Thanks for the information.
