Was there a newer version pushed out today? I still seem to have 5.0.545 & when I check for updates, it it the same when i launch program & definition updates.
I don`t no yet, but according to this guy yes http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=60926.0
I rather doubt it is out officially as we generally here about it on the forums first.
So I can’t see how this was achieved other than by accident, it being loaded on one of the hundreds of update servers in preparation as there is on meant to be due soon.
Well, then I got Build 565 (the version before 578) by accident too? :D.
The first version of AIS I installed was 542 (I think it’s a beta / pre-release). Then this version told me that there is 565 available and after a few further weeks 565 told me that there is 578 available :D. Perhaps I have a dev-version?
There was no accident.
Build 578 is a beta I sent to two translators; so if anybody was still using an old betaversion and didn’t update the program previously (i.e. still on the beta stream), he might get 578 now.
An official beta will be available soon when the known problems are fixed; this build was only meant for checking the translation (e.g. the problem with non-working GeoIP there is known).
Whatever you have, it seems you’re living in the future (kind of)… ;D
Btw, it’s not the first time that AIS is ahead in version history. (Some know what I mean…)

Edit: Obsolete after igor’s post…
Well, Igor’s answer explains it all
Could be interesting to keep a last BETA on a spare system though ;D
Greetz, Red.
So that version is comming soon but why there no thread about it. So user can comment if there a bug or what.
Don’t worry, it will happen rather soon…!

It will be soon (between 21 and 27 of June is the schedule).
For the simple reason it hasn’t been released for general beta testing, what part of ‘coming soon’ didn’t you understand ;D
Thank for your answers all.
You’re welcome…!
