new virus not detected by avast

hi , this is my first topic over here , I hope I’m not breaking any rule by posting this virus here .

before 2 hours , I received a link to this virus , hope avast team add it to the database .

it is compressed with winrar.

Please send it in a password-protected zip file to virus@avast.com making sure the password is included in the body of the email.

I have send the virus to the mail virus(at)avast , should I receive a confirmation letter or something like this ??

ok , and if got new idea for handling some kind of faceook spreading viruses , and avast cant detect them now , where should I post it ??

Basically you shouldn’t post any link to any malware sample as we don’t want the forum to become a quasi malware distribution site. Especially as it is as you say undetected. We have no control over who might view this topic and if they download the virus or what they will do with it.

So rather than just make the link unclickable, remove it completely.

All samples should be sent directly to avast and not made accessible through a public forum, either by email (as you have now done) or from the avast chest.

Send the sample/s to avast as a Undetected Malware:
Open the chest and right click in the Chest and select Add, navigate to where you have the sample and add it to the chest (see image). Once in the chest, right click on the file and select ‘Submit to virus lab…’ complete the form and submit, the file will be uploaded during the next update.

can you replay on my other post on VW " the new generation of facebook viruses" , I’ll be glad if I got new info else that I got so far about it.
