Hi I got samples of some new virus that can be detcted only by few antivirus. Where can I send it?

It is one exe and one dll and some kind of config file.
And couldnot be found by anti-spyware.

You can send them to virus[at]avast[dot]com in zip protected archive.
In the mail body you can write some info about the virus and the password for the archive :wink:

I am a little bit ??? now.
I send it 3 files where two of them was executable and both are viruses. Now avast can detect virus just in one of them. The other file is .dll and not detected as virus by avast but it does by others. I am confised.

“In file nt_hide75.dll_ found virus Trojan.Elitehide” after online scan

Should I resend that dll file again?

I would have though that if two of the 3 were added the other may well still be in the to do list, but it wouldn't hurt to send it again.

There is no need to have bulletproof passwords in the zip file, ‘virus’ is fine, the only reason for the password is to prevent mail servers on the route from being able to open it and possibly detect a virus and delete the sample.

I resended that .dll file again and I hope that cure will come soon.
