I’ve installed it and it seems to run, but can it detect anything ?
To read anything other than the Home Directory, surely it needs your password ?
I can see its does anything other than create huge files all of which say error.
Is there a guide anywhere which shows how to set it up so it can work correctly ?
Any thoughts very welcome !

avast for Linux (the home version) has been abandoned many years ago.
There is only the paid version for Linux servers.
For help with that, you need to contact the reseller.

Side note, VPS updates for the old version end in January 2017.
Without VPS updates, bye bye antivirus support…
