Hi everyone. I recently activated the 30 day trial. As I live in the UK, it always selects London as the optimal connection, which I find is usually the fastest. However, my concern is regarding the extensive data retention laws in the UK, which is the reason I am now using the VPN. My question is : Does this law force Avast to keep my browsing history when connected to a UK server, & if so, is it freely accessible/visible to the authorities as is required for default ISP’s in the UK?

And in general terms, does anybody know exactly what data Avast does log & how long they retain it for?

SecureLine VPN stores connection logs, which includes information such as the time you connect and disconnect, the duration of the connection, and bandwidth usage. This information is used for diagnostic purposes and to help prevent abuse of the VPN connection.
We do not log activity such as the websites you visit, what data is transferred, and what IP addresses are accessed.
