I have a newdotnet6_30.dll application file which is part of the Newdot folder that is infected with Win32.Trojan-gen. This file is attached to my Netscape folder. Avast cannot clean, delete or remove this file.
When I remove Newdot which includes the infected file from the netscape folder my Netscape Browser and email will not work.
Can I replace this newdotnet6_30.dll applications file or is there a way of removing the Trojan from this file?
If you follow the instructions it will take care of it. If you have a NT based system, schedule a boot scan with Avast instead of running it from within Windows.
