Nexus Ultimate Dock | Outlook Virus Warning

Hi,

I installed Nexus Ultimate Dock on my freshly formatted computer yesterday. When launching Outlook.exe from their own provided launcher I get a virus warning (as shown in the picture). When I launch Outlook.exe from the actual Outlook icon provided by Micro$oft, I get no warning.

I don’t know what to make of this and Nexus’s support was rather condescending and unhelpful. Was basically told it wasn’t their problem, to uninstall Avast, use ESET, get the installer from a legit source (it came directly from them, fully paid for just yesterday), and ‘Google it’. Something is going on, but I don’t know what.

You can see the warning at https://ibb.co/keV7jU

It does not mention Nexus, but it is definitely triggered by Nexus.

Please attach your screenshot(s), some of us don’t follow external links.

Thanks Pondus, that smells like a FP…

@Corey: You can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Hi,

it can be caused by a code injection from the Nexus software. We’d check it.
