When I did a clean manual install of Avast Pro 10.0.2208, I had the option NOT to install the NG service. However, with version 10.2.2214 and 10.2.2215 RC that option is gone. I do NOT want Avast to install virtualization software without my being able to opt-out of it. I already use VMWare Player and Sandboxie for my choices and now Avast adds another 400 plus meg of data >:( on my hard drive. So, what’s the DEAL!!!
Im pretty sure the last time I did a manual install it was no longer called by NG but some virtual tool. I just checked my install to see if I changed setings what it is now called and even I dont see it.
It is now known as “Secure Virtual Machines” on the custom install.
I’ll agree the name is a bit misleading.
