Hi!
I have just started to use Avast 4.8 pro, and Im still in the learning stages… Anyhow after doing a scan Avast had detected some infections, that I beleive to be false positives… Now that I have tried moving the files back, I am getting an error “Access Denied” or I have no rights on the file… I would really like to access these files again and was hoping someone could assist…
Below are 2screen shots that show what happen when I try either re-add the file to the rar folder or when I just try open…
I think they’re not false positives. Keygens are well-know source of infection…
If you want to take the risk, it’s up to you, you need to use the Exclusion lists:
For the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning):
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize.
Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button…
For the other providers (on-demand scanning such as the screen-saver or the Simple User Interface):
Right click the ‘a’ blue icon, click Program Settings.
Go to Exclusions tab and click on Add button…
You can use wildcards like * and ?.
But be careful, you should ‘exclude’ that many files that let your system in danger.
Thanks, hopefully now i can run the apps I need… I wont go as far as excluding wildcards, I think thats a little risky but yeah some of the files that returned an infection, are known to be false positives… I got them of sites I trust…
Cheers
