No access to original synchronised device

Same problem, I already PMed you.

Seem to have a similar problem. I had it synced to my old laptop, which has since become unable to hold any charge due to a broken power plug. As a result, I had to get a new computer, but this one continues to think it is a subsequent device. Can I have my old one’s sync disabled and my old stored passwords sent over?

Hi, you still seem to be on the old system. Please see if this will help: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Restore-Passwords-data-backup/

Hi,

I have replied to you via PM.

Hi,

You can export your passwords from your old Windows device and re-import them into the new device. That is the only option apart from starting from scratch.

Have the same problem. I’ve sent you PM.

Hi,

I replied to your PM.

@avast_antivirus I have been trying to sync and back up my logins across all my devices via Avast Password but I am being asked to confirm or provide previous password on another synced device which I don’t have or know of. Attached is the screenshot of the error message. https://t.co/Y9uiosneMh

Hi,

I replied to your PM.

I backed up my pw file, which included a nice strong pw for avast. Hard drive died, had to change avast pw since I don’t remember the old one, now I’m locked out of the backup since I don’t have a second device.

I have the same Problem

  1. I don’t have any accsess to second device
  2. Nor do I have an e-mail with restore link.

Why is the customer service at Avast so arrogant ?
