I just bought a one year subscription to Avast and paid through PayPal. It told me to “click here” to confirm after i had paid, i sent my payment through paypal and it said to close the window. I did this and then went back to the application. However it wouldn’t activate when I clicked continue, it just held me on the page. I waited roughly 30 mins and it didn’t resolve, no email has been recieved either. For identification purposes I can provide the details used for my billing address

Try the Resend avast License https://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.

Thanks, but it was saying i didn’t have it one moment, then the minute i posted this thread it updated, just my luck making me look like a fool

Perhaps there is a delay waiting for PayPal to clear/transfer the funds to avast.

I on occasion get a receipt for payment from PayPal but not for a while on some merchants. So not a fool, that would be not enquiring at all.

Just a suggestion.

Download your license file and store it somewhere just in case you need it in the future.
