No auto updates since Vista SP2

On May 27, I installed Vista’s new service pack.

The installation went off without a hitch, or so I thought.

I just realized that between May 27 and today, my Avast Home Edition 4.8.1335 has not automatically downloaded its virus signatures even once, as shown by its update log.

Has anyone else with Avast Home Edition run into this conundrum? I can still update manually, but the automatic updates were so convenient.

Could Windows Firewall be blocking Avast from updating? Would a repair installation of Avast or even uninstalling and reinstalling be advised?

Thanks.

U could try that^^

Uninstalling ur current version of avast! and installing the latest version of avast! is an option^^^^

NOTE: Download it from avast!'s website so we can say its safe^^

Out of Topic Question:

My Windows Update didnt update!
I mean literally…U have the SP2 update while dont?!
Its only the SP2 ???The others r seem identical to mine…(e.g. Security updates, definitions)

Yeah. I do have it.

I don’t really know what to tell you. When SP1 came out, some people didn’t get it in their Windows Update because of outdated hardware drivers that would’ve been incompatible with it. Try updating your video driver and see if it appears then.
