no data option on acer tablet

I have avast installed on a acer 501 running 3.2.1
In the firewall setting i only have a wifi icon available no 3g icons at all
To access the internet over the 3g network i have to disable the firewall.
What is going here?

hm it seems that your system reports to AVAST that you have no mobile network available. In this case we hide the 3G interfaces.

Hi,

I’ll take a look at it, but can’t promise anything, because we don’t have that device here. Every manufacturer does this differently so sometimes it’s hard to tell if the device has a 3g interface or not.

Could you please tell me if it’s possible to send an sms message out of the device? I guess the default messaging application won’t be there, but you can install a different one from the Play store.

Hi ondra,
Google play tells me the app is incompatible with my device (all my devices actually), thus i cant install it.
Can i access the apk somewhere to try a manual install?

It’s probably because right now it’s for android 4.0 and higher. I’ll make it work on 3.0 too. Stay tuned :slight_smile:

OK, all done. Wait until Google Play updates the listing. It should show version 1.1.1.
