No forum icon/images ?

I have a problem with the graphics (layout) of the forum.
When I am loged I don’t see certain images.
Please see enclosure. What I have to do ?

Does this just happen with this forum? Are you using FireFox? If you are using FireFox please check the settings under the menu Tools>Options>Content

Then check the settings for “Load Images Automatically”.

Did you try clicking CRTL+F5 at the same time and refresh the page?

If you are using IE6 or earlier, this has been a common problem with small file size images http://www.google.com/search?q=red+x+in+IE+image+not+displayed&ie for many the suggested option to clear the temporary internet files seems to work.

Usually I use Avant Browser. I have made some tests.
With Firefox problem is the same.
To me it seems a problem that concerns account of the forum, because if I enter with another account from the same PC the problem doesn’t exist.

Avant is an IE clone, e.g. it uses its core so any IE related topic is likely to be relevant.

I don’t see any settings in the user profile information that switches off images, avatars, yes but not all images. So I find it hard to see why this might be account related. If it were somehow account related I’m sure someone is likely to have suffered this problem and I haven’t seen that, very strange.

That is strange, I would have though it would have been all images displayed or none. The difference with my avatar is that it isn’t on the avast.com web space, but on photobucket.com. You might want to check the location, right click and see if you can save or display the image’s location, it might be that something is blocking avast.com images.

Do you have some ad blocker this may be blocking avast images. That does seem strange if you use a different account the same block I would have thought would still apply.

You are right, I cannot save the image.
I also have the same problem connecting me from three different computer (house, office x2). :-\
Tomorrow I try with mine laptop and control all the applications and protections.

Do you use firewall? May be you should take a look on it’s settings, may be the firewall blocks images.

Whilst that or some ad blocker could do it, unfortunately the bit you left out of your quote seems to contradict this, as any blocking from a firewall or ad blocker should in theory apply no matter what forum account justnet used, definitely weird.

Yes, DavidR, you are right, but for some reasons I turn my firewall (and my browser too) on strong settings (to block everything) and that is why sometimes I see the same as justnet on any web-pages. That is the reason why I asked him.
Another reason may be concluded in some programs, like CProxy and HandyCache, which compress traffic, I think so.

Using some firewalls (like Kerio) or browsers (like Opera) you can manage not only profiles, but also your accounts. So, being logged in Windows at the same user account, you can establish different settings for each account of the one forum.
