Ok- I feel like a dumbass, but…
I just downloaded the free edition today. From the START menu > Programs > avast!Antivirus > (and both “HELP” and “avast! Web site”) when I click on either one, I get a Table of Contents on the left, and “The page cannot be displayed” on the right side- whether I’m online or not…
What’s up? I need the Help files (can you tell?!)

Which firewall do you use? Which is your operational system?
Did you allow ashWebSv.exe to connect and scan the Internet traffic?
