After choosing to ‘disable Avast until the next restart’ the Avast icon does not appear in the sys tray unless I first go to choose it under the ‘start programs’ menu. How do I get it to do that again? Does it mean that it no longer starts automatically when the computer is turned on? I don’t see it on the startup tab under msconfig. I’ve restarted several times with the same result.
try running avast repair and reboot
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
