In the beginning, i got a virus or some sort with the “windows XP security” and keeps having pop-ups and fake scans etc… so I downloaded avast and malwarebytes and scanned in safe mode, after scan result, i just deleted all infected objects (really stupid of me) and after that, i restarted and log in and no icons… only wallpaper…
i click alt-ctrl-delete and new test explorer.exe but that did not help, i just found two explorer.exe in the process tab… i tried running something on my desktop by browsing to it, and all of the sudden it shows my desktop again… but the sound doesn’t work, internet doesn’t work, avast scan doesn’t work… nothing seems to work…
as of now… I’m really confused… hopefully someone can come up with a solution… thanks…
