This is my first post…I’ve been using avast! for many months, but recently the “user’s base interface” don’t seem to work, I explain myself: When I launch the program the help comes out but not the interface, but on the windows bar there’s the interface icon…How can I fill this??

What is that?You could try to reinstall avast and see if that helps!Did you mean simple user interface?
Try the repair function first.
Go to Control Panel>Add/Remove programs select avast! and click Change/Remove.
Select the repair option.
yes I mean it…I’ve tried to repair and reinstall but nothing…
Are you receiving any message error of “usigetskin failed”?
Are you using any other antivirus in your system?
Do you use any startup application monitor? Like TeaTimer, Ad-watch, PrevX, etc.?
Can you manually run C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashSimple.exe or C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashSimple2.exe ?
Can you change your default skin to something else(if you can get to it)?Look at the left corner if you use the default skin or the szc-kde skin(my favourite) there should be a menu accessible from there.

Oops, skin problem.
You can remove default skins through add/remove programs avast change, uncheck skins.
This doesn’t remove ability to use skins, but should stop default ones comming back.
Boot and check the option again to have them back.
You can test another skin and see what you get (http://www.avast.com/i_kat_71.html).
I’ve opted for the non skinned interface ;D ;D
