No internet access with Avast Internet Security 7 & Windows 8

I’m very tired of trying to resolving this issue all day long, but I can’t. I just can’t.
2 weeks ago I bought a license for Avast Internet Security, in that time I use Windows 7 X64. Today I move out with a clean install (formatting envolved) to Windows 8 Pro x64. After that, I do have internet access, I update Windows and do some other things, but when I install Avast Internet Security (7.0.1474) no more internet for me. Nothing, I can connect, but Windows says “no internet access”. I try disabling Firewall, leave out 80 port, disable Web Shield, disable all the shields, reboot my laptop, reinstalling Avast. still nothing.
After some several wasted time, I uninstall Avast, then reboot, and internet is back!!! :-
So I try installl Avast Free Edition, and this time I have internet access, so I update with my license within the program to Internet Security, and after reboot, once again, internet access is gone.
So I’m pretty sure that the problem is the Internet Security Edition, hope that some employee of Avast do their job, and give me any solution. because I pay for it!!! I tried contacting support, but still nothing!!!

You bought a license for Avira and want to use it for avast! IS…?? ???
That won’t work…!! :wink:

Avira is not compatible with Windows 8 (yet).
You need to fully uninstall Avira in order to use avast! (two antivirus/firewall always conflict).

    Read before ask. Avast IS (downloaded yesterday from Avast) Windows 8 Pro x64, clean install so there’s no other security software installed (I just install Avast)
    Time ago (about 3 days) I use the same Avast IS but in Windows 7.
    It’s all in the first post.

  2. First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AVs.

Then:

  1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Let me see if I understand you:
0. Download again Avast IS.

  1. Uninstall Avast Free from Control Panel>Uninstall programs.
  2. Boot in safe mode.
  3. Use that aswclear tool to remove what is left of Avast.
  4. Install Avast IS.
  5. Be happy

PS: I don’t install other security program/AV or whatsoever.

Unless you built your own computer and installed the OS, antivirus was most likely installed before you received your computer.
