How can the new Avast advise I have no internet connection when I am using this forum?
The new interface is hopelessly bad. All white and no dark mode so I shall not be updating my phones.
Why do companies allow software programmers unlimited control without any training in ergonomics?

Also, how can I be asked to activate my account on one page when another page advises me the account is active?

I am having the same issue plus more. Internet continually cuts out. Continuous DNS errors. What a waste of money. I have posted issues in the past, but no response. I have submitted logs… no response. I will absolutely NEVER add this to my other devices.
Also seen this behaviour with avast one and avast free, sometimes website’s doesn’t load properly or mails not coming in … looks like a timeout of internet because of avast, with other security software no problem.
Haven’t tested AVG to see if has the same issue.
Avast one essential blocks emails in thunderbird don’t know which shield, when you turn off all shields, it works for email !!
I don’t use Avast One, so I’m not familiar with the shield names, but my guess would be the eMail Guardian.

I disabled email guardian, nothing happens, disabled firewall nothing happens, then i decided to stop all shields and than it worked.
Meanwhile i use AVG but not installed the mailshield
Strange, I would have thought that it would be the same under the skin. Unless of course there isn’t an equivalent to Avast One (e.g AVG One).
Also I don’t know if you are using Thunderbird to retrieve webmail of if it is conventional email using Pop3/SMTP protocols.
