but if i turn off on access protection it’s all working again.
When avast is running I can’t even update it (can’t connect to the server).
Running vista premium, any ideas?
What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashWebSv.exe internet access ?
- If it does delete the entry for it and do a manual update and reconnect to the internet, this will force the firewall to ask permission again.
However it shouldn’t stop you connecting to the server, just loading http pages and not https pages. Try just terminating the Web Shield and not all on-access protection.
Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
What other security based software do you have that might have an impact ?
