No new VPS?

There is no new VPS? I am asking because in stream updates is folder 130218-1, but latest VPS seems to be 130218-0. Is it okay?

yes

Thank you for swift reply :-[

Now there is even 130219-0 stream updates but still no vps…

whats all the fuss…does avast give you any error messages?
you get all the updates you need from the stream…

VPS are usually released twice a day, more if needed and some days none…depends whats happens out in the virus world

Ah, okay then. Sorry to fuss.

I was just asking, because my netbook runs 6.1367 where aren’t stream updates (I am typing from table pc with avast 7)

why not upgrade to avast 7 ?

Because last time I tried install avast 7 (about third time in time horizont) considerably results in slowering my machine to slug fast and mouse cursor is kinda twitching. I tried reinstalls (with removing bits with avast tool), repairs and such. My friend told me there may be way for it to work, but it will need whole reinstall of OS, which I am not fond now. Avast 6.1367 works like a charm on it. (It’s XP home OS, 1GB ram and 150GB HD)

and you have no other AV installed?
and previous used or preinstalled AV when new is removed?
and if so you did run removal tool for it to clear any leftover files?

No.
Removed norton.
Used removal tool right before installing avast.

have you tried with latest avast 7… or wait for avast 8.

hi Dynaheir,

If any other antivirus programs were installed and run, and then uninstalled, you should check this link for vendor removal tools here: http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/

Even if you never activated or ran a pre-installed antivirus, and uninstalled it, elements are left behind that will interfere with the proper operation of avast. Reboot after running each a/v vendor tool used.

I tried first version of 7, 7.1456 and the latest one.

I’ll try it, but I doubt it will work when even 7 doesn’t.

mchain: I did run removal tool for norton. I did run removal tool for older avast versions too
