No phone support for ABP?

SO I have an issue where the Avast Console service will not start. This is due to some kind of database issue. BTW, if anyone can help with this I’d be very thankful

I call the support line to discover that Avast has no phone support for its business product but does have phone support for the consumer product.

This seems completely backass to me. I have a network with hundreds of users that rely on this product. My supervisors who purchased this are now pressuring me to solve the issue. I don’t have the luxury of spending 3 days sending emails back and forth to an avast email support team. This is total bullcrap.

What does avast have to say about this?

Is Sql 2008 , ISS and Avast netservice running properly?
Wich version of Avast Console have you installed? Is the 1.0.888.19?
Maybe its a problem due to mirror corrupted…

Have you try reboot the server/machine that has installed the Console?

I’m very :cry: knowing that the phone support for business product are not working…

Try to run the “Update server definitions” job in order to rebuild the Mirror. It appears to be broken.

I can’t run the job, because the console will not start. It’s an issue connecting to the SQLEXPRESS database.

I’m doing a full rebuild of the server since I don’t seem to have any other option. I have a backup.dat file that I took at one point. Hopefully, restoring this file will get me back all the settings.

This is the number for iyogi support. Its all outsourced to India and they follow strict triage where they will not speak to me about ABP. Period. They opened a support ticket for me, but now I’m expected to wait 24 hours for a response that will probably be “please try rebooting” and “send logs”. Only to have this go on for days of back-and-forth. No way.

No phone support on a business product is just stupid. I’ve already reported this little issue to my supervisor that purchased this product. Maybe we can get a refund.

Did you purchase direct from avast or through a reseller? If you purchased from a reseller you should contact your reseller as they are responsible for support and can get a quicker response from avast support.

MKop, you are correct. The link above is not for business users. I tried those phone contacts and they only help with home consumer editions.
