No ping whit BPP

I have installed “Avast! Administration Console” version 1.1.132.15 and work fine.

I try to setup the new Firewall feature from expert setting on all group set firewall system rules for incoming ping and trace set value to one (1) and i test to ping the PC installed with BPP client from the other PC the result is time out.

I have the problem with every version of Windows for desktop(XP and 7)

Before the change the value was:

After i have modify the field “Incoming ping and trace” with vuale = 1, but I can’t ping the pc on these group.

How can i do for set all pc to response to a ping request using the “Avast! Administration Console”?

Disable the firewall for your managed group in the Console, and see if you can ping. Had this same issue yesterday! J.R. Gutyhrie

I had try to disable the firewall and the result was a correct functionally of the command ping to all pc in that group.
I’m sure, the problem is the firewall, and its rules.

How you have resolve this problem?

I have a support ticket started on this. We were able to see the XP systems, but not the Win 7 systems by modifing the “friends” IP settings in Expert Settings for the firewall. I have 2 different tickets all needing the firewall documentation for the Console to move forward! I will post those results as soon as I get them! J.R. Guthrie

see these FW settings on print screen

Forgot the 2nd print screen for the firewall settings to fix workgroup shares being blocked with the avast! firewall.
