Hello.
I’m using avast! Free Antivirus 7, and before, when I booted my computer, a green box would pop up in the bottom right hand corner and a female voice would say “The Avast virus database has been updated.”
The thing is now, when I turn my computer on, it never pops up anymore.
How can I fix this?
If you did not change any avast! setting… Is it updating correctly?
You can open the interface and check which is the virus definitions version.
Also check the update options to show the update panel after it is performed.
No Popup On Startup
Not to hijack your thread, but I experience the opposite. Upon restarting my pc today I was presented with a popup to upgrade for $19.99.

Maybe the latest update was done before you shut down and there hasn’t been a refresh from that time till rebooting the system, what is your latest def’s? latest here is 120523-1.
