Also y lot of time scanning of mp3 files in custom scanning…Can mp3’s be infected with viruses?

Guess i get a response soon.Thank u Avast team :-*

The latest version of avast can scan in Safe Mode.
avast still can’t do a boot time scanning in x64 systems.

Latest build here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=59223.0
Boot time scanning for 64bit systems should be implemented with the 5.1 version.

MP3 (Bloat) Virus http://www.hoaxkill.com/hoaxkill/viewhoaxcategory?hoaxid=1017&category=1&stylesheet=viewhoax.xsl

This concept of “executable” is completely broken. The extensions do NOT matter, it’s the contents of the file that matters. As a simple example, copy notepad.exe to infected.mp3, run the command prompt and type “start infected.mp3” there. Yeah, notepad is running now.

just like files don’t need extensions in Linux to be recognized by the system…
