No Scheduled Boot-Time Scan in Avast Pro 5 on Windows XP

Avast Pro 5.0.677 running OK in Windows XP SP3.
Boot-time Current Status: “scheduled to run at next boot”.
Boot Scan not occurring after several “Restart computer” attempts.
Possible reason/s ?.

Is everything else working fine with Avast? Other scans working fine? Was this an upgrade or a clean install?

Try to Repair your installation:

  • Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Avast Antivirus.
  • Scroll down and choose Repair function in the pop-up window.
  • Reboot.
