Hi, Sorry about 2 posts here but Ive just upgraded from avast 4.8 to 5 (latest). I have no sounds, all sounds are checked in settings. I cant find any sound files anywhere in Alwil Software and all folders. Any ideas?

What operating system are you using?
In XP they are in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Alwil Software\Avast5\sounds
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Alwil Software\Avast5\sounds\1033
Thanks YoKenny, They are indeed in the xp folder you advised they were in. Very strange after installing upgrade 5 I was advised to reboot, fair enough I did and all seemed well except no sounds. No huge worry but strange. After locating the files in the folder you advised of I closed avast and reopened it and guess what my eicar.com file bought sights and sounds. Reboot I understand, but close and open after a reboot???

Avast 4.8 Russian version with russian talking sounds! but not the new russian version without talking sound!!!
but when i change it from settings to English i can hear talking sounds!

In avast! 5 there are new sounds - and the voice messages were prepared only for a few (4, I believe) languages so far.
yea it’s about 4 now!
but now i’m using russian version without any single voice message!
when i choose english voice messages works as normal
but when i change Avast to Russian it doesn’t work!
And as I was saying, it’s normal - that’s how it is right now.

Степан (надеюсь, я правильно расшифровал ваш ник?), я уже спрашивал про озвучку русской версии. Ответ, вкратце, такой: пока есть голосовая озвучка только на английском языке. Русский голос возможно появится позже, когда у разработчиков руки дойдут до локализаций.
