No virus database has been updated sound

I have problem with Avast 7.0.1466 Internet Security
I updated from gui when 1466 version was released.
Database is updating fine, but there’s no sound telling me “Avast virus database has been updated”
I miss that ;D I got used to that to hear it every time when it updates database.

Any suggestion :slight_smile: ? Tnx

Yes, this is likely to be the next hot topic (not necessarily for this user), for all of those who disabled the sound when getting the double update notification.

Still, I (imploringly) hope most users will remember, if they disabled it or not.

No , i didn’t disable it , i checked it before i posted a new topic.
Every thing is enabled in sounds in avast .

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1
No other security software. Never had other. Just avast.

Yes , i mean there’s no even notification that virus database is updated . You know the small green thing in the right bottom corner.

  1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Still no sound or green notification. Did everything as you said.
Take a look at screenshot.
It updated immediatly after installation reboot . But no green thing and voice :frowning:

But, if you choose not to display an info box after automatic update, you only want a sound to indicate auto updates, what happens then?

Prior to 1456, I was able to have sound without info box.
Since 1456, there is not sound without the info box.
