No way to buy anti-theft premium license?!

I’m going crazy here.

I tried everything but I cant buy a damn anti-theft premium license…

I originally had an S3 where I bought a voucher for the premium license for - but I only had a “fake google account” when I unlocked premium.

Later I changed the account to my real one, but as I learned the avast license gets tied to the google account (which I dont even remember now since I just smashed on the keyboard when creating it).

I got a new S4 now and wanted to use anti-theft premium on it as well. So I added it to my avast account (not this one) but it wouldnt accept the premium license so I deleted the old s3 from the account in the hopes that this was the problem.

Still it wouldnt allow me to unlock premium on the S4.

So I tried to purchase another license through the my.avast.com website - but once I click on “unlock premium” it just shows an error that the product is not available or smth. (reoccuring server error … even with different avast account).

Then I contacted the support and they told me I just had to activate the same google account which I used when I bought the premium voucher for the S3. But as I explained I dont remember the account because it was only a temporary fake account to download a few apps when setting up the phone for the first time.

The support didnt even react to my questions if they could tell me the account name which was used…

Then I tried to ask here for help to have someone tell me how to get a premium license but all I was told was that the premium features will be free in the future. (I dont intend to use the mobile security part of the avast mobile software - just want the premium anti-theft features… so that doesnt really help me either… at least not at this point of time)

So I finally bought some google play credits in order to buy the premium license with that through the in-app purchase and now that also tells me that a purchase is not possible…

What the…

PLEASE someone tell me how to get that damn anti-theft premium features if there is no damn way currently to purchase the avast mobile premium license?!

Neither through the my.avast.com WEbsite (to buy a voucher) nor through google play in-app purchase?!

I’m starting to freak out.

The official customer support is really a joke for avast.

(I used to recommend the app and the pc software to everybody that I know, but after this incident I think I’ll have to recommend something else … at least if youre a paying customer)

I dont want it for free - I’m willing to pay (already bought that google play credits for nothing it seems) but it just wont allow the purchase…

Really annoying.

The official customer support is really a joke for avast.
If you mean the phone number, that is not avast but a third party and they don't deal with payment issues. https://www.avast.com/total-support

If you mention the ticket number here, it may speed up things a bit.

avast for mobile is gonna be free.
It would not make sense to sell 1 year (or longer) licenses if it will be free within a few weeks from now.

As clearly mentioned in the article (KB66), anti theft is a add-on for avast for mobile.

hmmm - but its a stand-alone app which requires premium to use the advanced features to take picures and record audio remotely.

Plus remote data backup also does only work with the premium version.

When I now install the beta mobile security (not anti-theft) app I doubt that this will unlock the premium anti-theft features… they are locked through the my.avast.com website.

All I want is those advanced anti-theft features. Once the anti-theft has the premium license I am planning to remove the mobile security (the anti-virus) part of the installation so that thieves dont even know that avast is installed. (anti-theft will be installed with root and in “cloaked mode”).

So that means I really need the premium license and not just the beta app… =(

No, the premium options will be in the new free version.
You can already test it as a beta tester.

Ofcourse it will not unlock/give you the anti-theft options. Anti-theft is not the same as AMS.

You can’t get a premium license because avast (AMS) will be free.
