No way to install Avast

license key … is not reconized as à valid licence key ?

I tried the two ways of registering, online and ofline (language french)
When online registering I get the answer “Operation réussie” (means “succesful”) but there is a red cross
and the registration don’t occur

I uninstalled using the aswclear.exe tool and réinstalled many times

Th install process looks OK but at the end when doing the first scan I get system crash, blue screen and reboot

I wouldn’t be posting your actual key for others to harvest.

+1

From where you get the license key?

DJBone

Please, remove the license key from your post.

Please, upload (attach) the avast log:
\Setup\setup.log
If the file is too big for the forum, post the last 400-500 lines of it.

Tech, if the key doesn’t work, there is no sense worrying about it.

Of course it matters, if an avast repair might resolve that. In which case there is a live key on a publicly available forum and it shows at the very least the key format.

We also don’t know what version of avast the OP is using as he mentions License key, not registration key (perhaps semantics), but if he has a paid option then this could be a free version key which is obviously invalid in the case of the Pro/AIS versions.

So it could still be a live license, which good practice would suggest not displaying it on a public forum.

Hmmm… Would the OP come back? ???

“Would the OP come back?” :

I guess by OP you mean Operating System ?

From the installation process , as I said, I get a bleu screen with a message I have no time to read it, as I get a reboot, at the end of the reboot, system says it recovered from a serious error

from the registering process, no crash, but the avst program doesn’t scan anything

No, OP means “original poster” ie. yourself.

Could you provide more detail as in what operating system you use sorry I see you have XP SP3 , which version of avast you have?

Are you using another antivirus in this computer? Any other security program that could interfere?

What do you mean? Are the shields running or you’re got an exclamation point “!” in the avast icon?

Some other antvirus have been tested and have been uninstalled (spyboot search destroy mainly)
I am using the last version of avast available on the french site (version 7)
When clic on the avast icon on desktop, the icon on the right hand corner appears with a white cross on a red dish, and the registration sheet appears

  • Which avast!..?? (Free/Pro/IS)
  • Which version…??
  • OS…?? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…??
  • Which AV did you use before avast!..??

Avast free version 7
XP SP3 32 bits
No other security related software installed at this time
Spybot search destroy installed then uninstalled

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AVs.
