Normal or no ?

Suddently i update my data base and yesterday its taked only 109 mb on my disk so now its take 156 mb ??? How ? I can see there a big ammount of virus that is added but im wondering how its taked so much space ?

Edit : Now its take 110 mb. That strange.

mine is just 45.6 MB, updated so ???

When a new virus definitions are downloaded, they may coexist together with the old one for a while. Well, if you’re currently running a scan, it may even be for a longer time (and if you’d be running some very long scans - over a few days, for example, there may even be more than two virus definitions simultaneously on your disk).

When all the running scans are finished, and when all the resident protection shields are “updated” to the new virus definitions, the old ones are deleted. So, that’s exactly what you saw - avast! + one virus definitions is about 110MB, with 2 virus definitions it’s about 50MB more.

Well me all shields is installed. Because i need both. ;D So maybe that the reason but now its 110 mb and yesterday its was 109 mb so i consider it normal.

Its just taked a little 2 mins before avast! delete the old folder vps.

Edit : Thank you igor its ok now.

PS : Do you know when any new program update will be avaible ?
