Norton Antivirus

Even though I’ve uninstalled Norton Antivirus, Avast keeps telling me that Norton is still running and disables the scanners. Any suggestions? ='(

Norton leaves a lot of stuff behind even when you uninstall it, there are many such threads in these forums.
