Not Able To Install Avast Antivirus In The PC

Before using the avast i was using kaspersky premium security and i bought it online from Kasperskycontactsupport.com website with complete 1 year online assistance but i had to avast paid antivirus so i have bought it online avast.com and trying to install it in the computer but it is not able to install because system requires service pack and it doesn’t install into the system due to some technical error. Please help me to get out from this problem as soon as possible…Thank you

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)…!!

Then:

Download Avast Pro Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
Reboot.

Yes, you need to have SP1 installed if you use Windows 7. If you don't have it, install it before trying to install avast.
